King David is a biblical Brazilian miniseries, produced and aired by TV Record, had its first chapter aired on January 24, 2012 and will have 29 chapters. Directed by Edson Spinello, with text by Vivian de Oliveira. Based on I Samuel, II Samuel and I Kings part. King David is the third Biblical miniseries aired by TV Record, the first being The Story of Esther and the second Samson and Delilah.
Production:
The series had scenes shot in Desert of Chile and Canadian cities, such as Cache Creek and Kamloopscom. There were scenes in Rio Grande do Norte and in other cities outside of Sao Paulo, as Diamantina, in Minas Gerais.
Some actors were fresh out of the workshop actors Record. They had to learn Hebrew and to make bread, and customs of Bible times and tactics of war. The series cost 25 million dollars.
The school chose actors: Gatelly Elder, who has appeared in All My Life, playing the hairdresser Nelson Lima and also in the novel Business in China, as the fighter Jason Abiathar and live on the show. Also elected were Daniel and Julia Fajardo Bouzas, who will live, respectively, Tamar and Itai.
There will be many many extras and special effects, something that has been invested since the issuing of the novel mutants, like the scene where David fights with a bear and the scene of the fight against Goliath.
Plot:
The plot is based on I Samuel and II Samuel. Show the life of David, a shepherd's son Jesse, and that is very coveted by others. Saul, his main enemy wants to kill him. Saul is killed in battle and David takes the throne of Israel, but still have enemies and many other things happen to him.
