The origin of Strogonoff

The strogonoff is a dish of Russian origin, in fact, was called Strogonov. It all began in the sixteenth century through the power of the Russian soldiers, who ate diets of meat cut into barrels with salt and brandy to preserve food.

Through a chef of the Russian Tsar Peter the Great, the food has been improved and refined. The general who protected the cook was called Strogonov, hence the idea of giving name to this dish. Later, with the 1917 Revolution and immigration of Russians to Europe, revenue came to France, where it was refined further, reaching the form we know today. The success of strogonoff is so great, that along with the lasagna and filet parmesan, is currently one of the ten most popular dishes sold worldwide.

Just put half a box of tomato paste and after a while half the box of cream, and thenturn off heat.
Serve with rice and potato, this recipe fits very well for two people if the quantity ofrice is sufficient.
