Living in Rio de Janeiro gives us a dimension of art that have not found anywhere else.
Everywhere I see there is a form of cultural expression that fills the eye.Life in bubble culture here in the River Within the bus creates a personal rap, shopping at the outlet of a group gathers for a rock in the city streets it is colored with graffiti.
A city that takes its economy based on the third sector (services, trade) is full of places where you can learn to live more peaceful and more learning. I tend to leave little, but for those who love the Rio is full of art exhibitions, be it painting, sculpture or other. Museums everywhere, historical monuments at each corner we look, without speaking of the hallmarks of modern life in the country and that are reflected in the former imperial capital.
Not to mention in theaters, opera houses and crops. The city breathes culture.
But what most strikes me is the urban culture, which is in every corner of the town and out of "circuit" view. For example, public buildings and municipal agencies, have its facade graphite, giving a modern feel and leaving the default "gray building. " Congratulations who had this fantastic idea! And I wish other cities would do the same, giving more color and opportunity for alternative artists. Look at these pictures of Works Secretariat of Rio de Janeiro:
But not only in public buildings that graphite is present and represents the art. During the Yellow Line, a major access route between the West Zone and North Zone, there is, besides the graffiti viaducts in drawings of children of school age, who inspired in Rio created their masterpieces. It is the encouragement of art, imagination, creativity. And this is how other cities should see the art, as part of the life of the poor and rich, it stimulates the growth and self-esteem of the population.

Theatro of Rio de Janeiro
This is the Theatro Municipal of Rio de Janeiro.
The Theatro Municipal of Rio de Janeiro opened in July 14, 1909, and and it had the capacity to 1.739 spectators. To decorate the building have been called the most important painters and sculptors of the time as Eliseu Visconti, Rodolfo Bernardelli Amoedo and brothers. European artisans were also recruited to run stained glass and mosaics.
In its early days in the theater had only foreign companies and orchestras - especially Italian and French - until, in 1931, they created the Municipal Symphonic Orchestra of Rio de Janeiro.Hoje the home houses the Petrobras Symphony Orchestra and the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra and are presented mostly programs, dance and classical music.
In 2008 he started the restoration works and modernization for the centenary of the Theatre, contemplating the restoration of the roof, internal and external architecture and modernization of its facilities.
The restoration of the walls brought up work done 80 years ago, covered by the reform and even dust. Another surprise was the discovery of a secret passage. The inauguration took place on May 27, 2010.
