Um podrão é um termo da gíria carioca para um tipo específico de cachorro-quente feito em carrocinhas de vendedores ambulantes que, além do convencional pão e salsicha com katchup, mostarda e maionese, é recheado com uma série de ingredientes adicionais que variam de batata palha, queijo parmesão ralado, grãos de milho, ervilha e azeitona até ovos de codorna. Alguns chegam a substituir a salsicha por lingüiça de carne suína. Embora recente (final da década de 1990), a guloseima virou em pouco tempo um hábito incorporado à cultura do Rio de Janeiro, comum principalmente nas proximidades de casas noturnas, cinemas e outros espaços freqüentados por jovens.
A podrão is a slang term for a specific type of hot dog carts made in by street vendors in Rio de Janeiro.
